Jamie York brings a wealth of experience and a lifelong passion for the outdoors to his work with Alkoomi. He met his wife, Anne, in 2008, and they married in 2018. Together, they have a blended family of six children and five grandsons. Jamie’s strong family values are a cornerstone of his life and work.

With a career spanning forestry, conservation, and safety, Jamie has dedicated himself to fostering sustainable practices and saving lives. He founded Plateau Forest Services, focusing on conservation-based resource planning, and contributed to landmark conservation efforts, including the wolf relocation to Yellowstone National Park in 1995.

Since joining Alkoomi in 2013, Jamie has facilitated transformative workshops across industries such as oil and gas, nuclear energy, bridge construction, and pipelines. His work on major projects like Coastal GasLink and Trans Mountain emphasises empowering frontline teams, supervisors, and trainers through meaningful dialogue and leadership development.

Deeply passionate about creating spaces for open collaboration, Jamie encourages participants to learn from each other and embrace a shared commitment to safety. Guided by his family values and love of nature, his mission is to ensure that everyone goes home safe and well every day.
