Alkoomi are proud to be associated with IPL Heartlands who take the ‘Home Safe Every Day’ motto to all areas of their business.
At Inter Pipeline, the priority is ensuring each employee returns safely to their families when their working day is completed. This philosophy is embodied in their motto: “Home Safe Every Day.”
However it is not just a motto, not just four words. All of their projects’ safety frameworks ensure that tasks are considered and well thought out, that there is proper support and supervision in each team and the ethos is adopted by every employee.
It is therefore not surprising that they have recently been awarded one of Alberta’s top employers in 2021, another win in their 6th consecutive year. See how Inter Pipeline won the award.
The award is based on Canada’s Top 100 Employers using the same eight criteria as the national competition such as physical workplace; work atmosphere and social; training and skills development; and community involvement. Employers are compared to other organizations in their field to determine which offers the most progressive and forward-thinking programs.
Inter Pipeline launched a number of initiatives to help maintain well-being during the pandemic, including an HR hotline to address employee questions and concerns, regular well-being surveys, weekly webinars on mental health, virtual classes including boot camp, yoga and guided meditation, and virtual fireside chats with executives.
Additionally, Inter Pipeline maintains a dedicated mental health and well-being strategy, and, as part of its benefits plan, offers coverage for mental health services (up to $10,000 per year for psychological services).
Alkoomi continue to support the project’s safety leadership team, its management and supervision, both virtually and in-person, in delivering an incident free workplace.
