On 30 January Alberta’s Industrial Heartland Association (AIHA) held their annual Stakeholder event which is arguably the most important industry conference in Alberta with 1100 attendees including owner companies, a multitude of fabricators, suppliers, construction contractors along with elected officials at all levels of government.
Amongst the other notable speakers was Bernard Perron, Senior Vice President, Projects & Operations Services at Inter Pipeline who provided an update on their Safety Leadership Program “We had zero lost time incidents” Perron told the attendees. “The whole safety program is around the fact that we care. If you can demonstrate to everyone in the organization that as leaders you care, people in the field will turn around and care for each other.”
In communications with our MD, Paul Taylor, Perron went on to say, “I took the time to elaborate on our safety leadership program and gave your Alkoomi team full credit for designing a program that has been helping us so many years”.
Alkoomi have helped the company achieve an outstanding record of only one medical assist report in 2019, in 2.9-million working hours and will be the first integrated propane dehydrogenation and polypropylene complex in Canada, which is on track to have the complex completed in 2021.
