PEOPLE ENGAGEMENT FORUMS; Engaging the Operational and Front-Line Workforce at Chiltern Railways into Home Safe Every Day
Alkoomi have been working with Chiltern Railways on their Safety Leadership Programme which includes everyone from Senior Directors and Managers through to frontline staff which has, at its core, getting everyone in the organisation engaged and actively involved in their safety message and commitment to Everyone Home Safe Every Day. Integral to this programme are the People’s Engagement Forums.
In partnership with Senior Leadership we have been designing and developing to enable roll-out of the People’s Engagement Forums to operational and frontline staff ensuring the safety message will reach up to 700+ of its staff during 2020-2021. Supporting each Forum is a Chiltern senior manager, coached by Alkoomi in the conversation and presentation tools they need to deliver their own personal safety message and communicate the Management Team’s commitment to safety in an engaging and powerful way.

To ensure all their people’s safety in the current Covid-19 climate, Chiltern have undertaken a full risk assessment of each of their Forum sites. By reducing attendance at each Forum session not only does it ensure compliance with risk assessment, a smaller, more intimate group is created where people can talk freely.
